The Board Of Management of FMC, Abuja, in conjunction With Federal Ministry Of Health and Head of Civil Service of Federation has conducted 2020 promotion examination for its members of staff strictly in compliance With NCDC protocols on COVID-19.
According to the hospital’s Head of Administration, Mr Sani Musa, 309 candidates sat for the examination out Which 0ne(1), Forty-four(44), nineteen (19) and ninety- four(94) were Consultant, Medical officers, Pharmacists and Nurses respectively. Others were Medical laboratory scientists (25), Medical laboratory technicians(2), Scientific 0fficers(5), Admin 0fficers(13), Executive 0fficers(16), Physiotherapists(6), Accountants(2), Social Welfare 0fficer(1) and Health Assistants(24) and others eadres (57). As usual, the candidates answered questions based on their Professions, Public service rules, and General/Current affairs.
Speaking While monitoring the conduct of the examination at Muhammadu Buhari Hall of Public Service Institute of Nigeria, Dutse, the Chairman, Appointment, Promotion and Discipline Committee(APDC), Mr. Husaini Akwanga, described the turn out of the candidates as impressive, adding that all the staff were orderly and peaceful in their conducts. He commended the Medical Director, Prof. Saad, members of Top Management Committee and Examiners for their support towards ensuring the success of the promotion exercise.
TWO members of Staff Who sat for the examination, Dr Amaedaji Musa and Mrs. Awon Blessing, Consultant Radiologist and Nursing staff in the medical/surgical wards of the Hospital respectively described the questions in the examination as standard.
