  3. Keeping beats duties.
  4. Carrying out security patrols.

The hospital compound remains the area of security responsibility of the security Unit. At all moments, security operation and monitoring is carried out to monitor and direct patients and members of the family, as well as keep watch of the hospital equipment within the OPD, WARDS, LABORATORY, X-RAY DEPARTMENT, and the INGRESS and EGRESS security gates; and also monitors of the parameter fence. The guards on duty, especially within the wards work in partnership with the nurses and cleaners.

The security of the hospital is being maintained by the contract security guards Company, WATCHCON SECURITY GUARDS COMPANY, personnel of the NIGERIAN SECURITY AND CIVIL DEFENSE CORP, members of the NIGERIAN LEGION (Ex-servicemen), and men of the NIGERIAN POLICE; all are contracted by the hospital Management to keep security duties to guide and protect staff and equipment in the hospital.
