Association of Hospital Administrative Pharmacists of Nigeria, Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Abuja chapter marked World Pharmacist Day.
Today, 23rd September 2021, the Pharmacy department, FMC Abuja commenced the maiden World Pharmacist Day with a set of line-up programmes.
The theme for 2021 World Pharmacist Day is “Always Trusted for You”. This annual event is to spread awareness about pharmacists and their contributions to the society.

Prof. Saad Ahmed, Medical Director, FMC Abuja.

Pharm Bada Niyi J, Head of Department Pharmacy, FMC Abuja.
Keynote Speaker:
Pharm Hajiya Zainab Uju Sharif, Director, Traditional Complementary and Alternative Medicine (TCAM), Federal Ministry of Health.
Guest Speaker:
Pharm Isaac Onoja, Pharmacist, Chief Executive Officer, Mind and Emotion Centre.
The Medical Director, Prof. Saad Ahmed was unavoidably absent but ably represented by the Head of Clinical Services, Dr Joseph Eziechila who declared the programme open.
Pharmacist Oluchi Nwaya gave the opening presentation and she spoke extensively about the drastic achievements that have been attained by the department through the support of M.D Prof. Saad Ahmed.
The keynote speaker spoke on the topic “Always Trusted for your Health” while the guest speaker encouraged pharmacists to update and equip themselves on their profession.
In his goodwill message, the Head of Clinical Services encouraged the pharmacists to continue to provide quality health services to patients in FMC Abuja.
The peak of the event was the presentation of award of excellence to the Medical Director for his dedicated service to the FMC Abuja especially the pharmacy department.
